I finished the work evening and started in the morning with the card unmounted. My problems started after OS 12 Monterey. It has been working many years like a charm. The adapter has nice alluminium finish, so the SD card is literally "invisible". Due to small SSD 256 GB, I have been for years using Micro SD card with additional 256 GB in Micro SD adapter. I have a Macbook Pro 13inch, early 2015, Intel chip. SD card (read only) on OS Monterey Hi all, I don't want to buy a new card because it seems I'm just going to run into the same problem if it work on PC and not on Mac.Īny help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thank you □ Still the same problem of no write access when using my Mac.Īll of this leads me to believe the card and all my SD readers (USB or Internal) are working fine and there must be some sort of software or hardware malfunction on my Macbook that is preventing me from having write access. And I formatted the card again through her PC. I thought maybe the card is a lemon and tried it on my roomates PC computer. I have cleared PRAM and SMC a few times to rule out that. Maybe its a problem with software, I was running High Sierra, so installed all updates and moved to Mojave. The permission section of 'Get Info' does not have a lock and cannot be changed. I figured there must be something wrong with the card so I have formatted it several times using disk utility using exFAT. I thought there may be a problem with my Macbook's SD card reader, so I cleaned it out - didn't work, so purchased a Trascend USB 3.0 micro SD card reader to do away with the adapter all together. Yes I have checked and checked again the adapter lock position, I have tried it up, down, halfway, mostly up, mostly down, inserting closer to the screen, further from the screen.everything. When I look at the properties for the Micro SD card it shows as "You have read only access". Everything was fine until I tried to delete the data on the card. I recently purchased a new 64GB micro SD card from Sandisk which I wrote photos on via the SD Card Reader and Adapter on the Macbook pro. This is driving me mental I feel like I've tried everything.
